Floorwork Core & Shoulder Strength Training
Core and shoulder strength training is important for dancers because it helps with balance, coordination, and stability during dynamic movements.
Core exercises
While working through these excercises be sure to not allow your neck or hip flexors take over for your core.
Before to take breaks if necessary to make sure your are doing these exercises with proper form and alignment.
Shoulder exercises
The use of body weight to strength upper body is super helpful for dance especially when trying to incorporate floor work in your Burlesque Choreography
Doing these exercises in a mirror if very helpful for alignment, but if you don’t have a mirror don’t be scared to record yourself so you can see your progress and check your form.
