During this intensive program, you will have the opportunity to dive deep into the art of burlesque and develop your very own mesmerizing act from start to finish. Whether you're a seasoned performer looking to refine your skills or a newbie eager to explore the world of burlesque, this program is designed for all levels.
Led by Miss Marquez with assistance from Flash’N Mountains, you will receive personalized guidance and constructive feedback to help you unlock your full potential. From perfecting your stage presence to choreographing a dazzling routine… RHINESTONES and TASSELS and BOOTY POPS ohhhh my! We will be with you every step of the way.

Weekly Schedule (must be able to commit to dates)
*In-person & Zoom weekly meetings will be on Sundays at 1pm (excluding the Striptease Class and Dress Rehearsal which will replace in-person/zoom meetings on those designated weeks)
Week 1 : Intro Meeting at Cat and Fiddle & Downtown Shopping Trip (In-Person) February 9th- February 15th
In Week 1, the journey begins with an engaging introductory meeting at the Cat and Fiddle. The session kicks off with a discussion on the exciting weeks ahead, setting the stage for what's to come. We will also take a trip to a delightful downtown shopping trip, creating a perfect blend of fun and productivity.
Week 2: Costume Resource Guide & Social Media Marketing (Zoom) February 16th- February 22nd
Week 2 dives into the nitty-gritty details of the performance with a focus on costume creation and social media marketing strategies. Participants will receive a comprehensive costume resource guide to help bring their vision to life. The Zoom session will also explore effective ways to market the upcoming show on various social media platforms.
Week 3: Striptease Class & Peer Photoshoot (In-Person) February 23rd- March 1st Striptease Class February 23rd 5:30pm-7pm at Hollywood Dance Center
Week 3 adds a touch of glamour and creativity to the mix with an in-person striptease class and causal photoshoot. Participants will have the opportunity to dive deeper into the elements of striptease and capture images for promotional purposes. During this casual photoshoot, the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, allowing for natural and spontaneous moments to be captured.
Week 4: Act Development Lecture (Zoom) March 2nd- March 8th
In Week 4, the focus shifts to honing the performance skills through an intensive act development session on Zoom. Participants will receive valuable feedback and guidance to refine their routines, ensuring a captivating and polished final performance.
Week 5: What to expect- Lecture regarding Show Day (Zoom) & What to expect at Dress Rehearsal March 9th- March 15th
In Week 5 of our program, we provide a detailed overview of what you can anticipate on the day of the show and offer valuable insights to ensure you are fully ready for the exciting BIG REVEAL moment! Preparing the body and mind is essential for success, and we are dedicated to providing you with all the knowledge and tools necessary to ensure you are at your optimal best for this highly anticipated and momentous occasion. We will also review how to book yourself in future shows with other burlesque producers, providing valuable insight on what is typically expected from performers, keeping you booked and blessed.
Week 6: Dress Rehearsal & Show (In-Person) Thursday March 16th- March 20th Dress Rehearsal at Hollywood Dance Center March 16th 5:30pm-7:30pm
The final week culminates with fine tuning any last minute details and getting ready for the Show, where all the hard work and creativity come together seamlessly. We will have our in person dress rehearsal; participants will have the chance to run through their acts in front of the full cast. Miss Marquez and Flash’N Mountains will film your performance as well as provide live notes via audio recordings so you can hear the notes timed to your music. This rehearsal will serve as the perfect preparation for the grand finale! On show day, all participants are invited to a portrait session with our photographers. Curtain goes up at 8pm, when you get to take your place under the bright lights of the Three Clubs stage!

About your Mentors:
Miss Marquez has been named by LA Weekly as “The hardest working dancer in LA Burlesque.” With her extensive background, she is a classically trained Ballet Dancer who holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance Performance, Choreography, and Pedagogy (Teaching). Beyond her impressive dance credentials, she is also a certified Yoga and Meditation instructor, bringing an added dimension to her artistic pursuits. For an impressive 15 years, she has been captivating audiences with her Burlesque performances not only in Los Angeles, but also across various international stages. Furthermore, she is the visionary creator, dedicated teacher, and talented producer of Empowerment in Heels, a Burlesque School she established in 2017 to inspire and uplift others.
Flash’N Mountains started taking EIH classes in 2017 and has been performing burlesque since 2018. She also holds down a full-time job, so she understands the need for organization, time management, and how to work a love for burlesque into an already packed schedule. She takes a nuanced approach to her mentorship, honing in on where you're at, where you'd like to be, and helps you figure out how you're going to get there. In addition, She knows a lot about rhinestoning and will help you shine brightly inside and out.
